Start with meaning and order
A reader should be able to identify the purpose of the postcard, navigate its sections and understand the required action without decoding the visual design. The intended audience is recipients of a mailed promotion, invitation, thank-you or short announcement, and the goal is to deliver one memorable front message and a practical reverse-side response. Use descriptive headings for front visual and headline, short supporting message, recipient or address area, sender identity and response details and any conditions and keep their reading order logical in both the page layout and exported document.
