What Megal Publisher does
Imports supported .pub content
Megal's own import engine reads supported structures from an original Microsoft Publisher file and rebuilds text, images and layout elements as editable Megal objects.
Creates page layouts
Design flyers, brochures, newsletters, cards and other publications with positioned text, images, shapes, tables and multiple pages.
Saves editable projects
The .mpub format keeps a Megal publication editable. Print and export features then prepare reviewed documents for sharing or production.
Megal does not use Publisher or LibreOffice behind the scenes.
The direct importer is Megal's own file engine. It does not depend on a hidden Microsoft Publisher or LibreOffice installation and does not use another product's code.

No independent application can responsibly guarantee pixel-perfect conversion of every proprietary Publisher file. Megal focuses on rebuilding supported content while keeping it editable.
Fonts may differ
If the original font is unavailable, text can wrap, resize or reflow differently.

Complex WordArt, fills, groups and older proprietary effects may require correction or rebuilding.
Proofing remains essential
Keep the original .pub file, compare each imported page and approve a proof before an important print run.

Yes. Megal Publisher has a Free plan for creating and editing publications, opening supported Publisher files and saving editable Megal projects. Free accounts can use a watermarked Print Preview. Actual printing and PDF creation, export or download require an active Professional subscription. The app displays current terms before purchase.

Subscribe now for full unrestricted access
Changing Professional Monthly to Yearly charges £59.99 immediately after PayPal approval, preserves the current paid month and appends the 12-month term after it. Changing Yearly to Monthly takes effect and first charges £5.99 at the existing Yearly next billing or expiry date. Cancelling stops the next renewal; paid access continues through the paid period and unused time is not refunded.
Extra AI Credits are a separate PayPal subscription, available monthly or yearly. Yearly Extra AI costs 10 monthly payments for 12 months, with credits still refreshed monthly. An AI billing conversion is offered alongside a Professional change only when the customer already has an active Extra AI subscription, and it requires a separate PayPal approval. Customers without an Extra AI subscription are not offered or enrolled in one.
