Give every image a job
Use food photography selectively and honestly; generous whitespace often improves choice more than adding a picture for every item. Classify each proposed image as identification, explanation, evidence, navigation or atmosphere. If two pictures perform the same job, choose the stronger one. This keeps the image plan connected to the objective to support quick comparison while preserving the restaurant’s tone and required dietary information, rather than using pictures only to fill available boxes.
